Shaker Kitchens

Contemporary Styling

The beauty of a shaker style kitchen is in its simplicity. The characteristic features of this style of door are a square framed design with an inset flat centre panel. The versatility of the Shaker design means it can look great in wood-grain, matt and even gloss coloured finishes. It is suitable for both a traditional and modern setting and tends to be both a versatile and hardwearing choice for family homes..

There is a timelessness to Shaker kitchens because there is no fussy decoration, but a simple and unpretentious design. The style was developed by a religious group called the Shakers who were guided in life by the principles of simplicity, honest and utility, and the same principles were used in the design of their furniture.

Originally Shaker kitchens would have been made with Cherry wood and Maple, but now Ash and Oak are the more popular choice of wood as they allow the natural grain to show through, even when painted.

The design of a shaker kitchen is highly versatile and would take pride of place in a coastal cottage, country retreats or grand period homes.

Please visit one of our showrooms, and we can take you through our Shaker kitchen design options. Each kitchen is made bespoke to our customers requirements, and we will come to measure up at your property to get the dimensions of the kitchen and take a design briefing, agreeing all features.

The next step is to create a CAD design so that you can see how it works ‘virtually’ before it is fitted.

All our kitchens are expertly fitted by our time-served in-house tradesmen. They are skilled courteous and reliable, and you have the additional reassurance that your project will be fully managed either by the business owner or the installations manager. Their job is to make sure that your kitchen installation is as pleasurable as it can be.

Please come and meet with us at one of our showrooms in Hoylake or Liverpool or call us on 0151 632 1670.
